The last two weeks have left me a grumpy mess.
Healing is frustratingly slow. I can now walk with no pain but if I try to stairs of bending the knee too much then its can really hurt.
I’m also finding it hard coping mentally without cycling. I’m grumpy all the time and I’m taking it out on the kids and my wife. I don’t want to be but it’s really hard to control myself.
The physio could feel around a but more this week as the swelling had gone down. He said my tendons are actually ok but I had torn my adductor pretty badly.
He said this is actually good news as the muscle will heal faster than tendons.
- I’ve also been to a cryotheropy pool twice. Basically, it a tub of 2 degree water that you stand in up to your waist. It also bubbles and had Epsom salts. You had to stand in it for 10 minutes.
It’s pretty hard to do but I’ve noticed improvements the day after.
So that’s about it for now. Sorry I couldn’t be more cheerful but as I said I’m finding it hard to control myself.
I’m going to have to find another hobby or its going to be a long 6 weeks.
